Course schedule

General studies

General Studies account for 10 - 25% of the study programme. These courses train key competences for subsequent career fields. By building their own individual specialities, students are able to shape and amplify their academic profile.

Recommended abilities/ target groups/ requirements placed on students

Seit 2013 erfolgt die Studienplatzvergabe an der Universität Bremen über das bundesweit organisierte Dialogorientierte Serviceverfahren (DoSV). Wie alle Bremer Studiengänge ist der B.Sc. Technomathematik deshalb formal zulässungsbeschränkt, allerdings mit einer sehr hohen Zulassungsbegrenzung. Diese wird erfahrungsgemäß nicht ausgeschöpft, sodass praktisch jeder Bewerber mit einer Zulassung rechnen kann.

Ein erfolgreiches Studium der Technomathematik setzt die Fähigkeit zum abstrakten Denken und Interesse für technische und naturwissenschaftliche Probleme voraus. Die Arbeit mit dem Computer wird in Studium und Beruf selbstverständlich sein. Konkrete fachliche Vorkenntnisse sind hilfreich, werden aber nicht vorausgesetzt.
